OptoSelector 901 is an optical sorter for the highest quality sorting results. Advanced software processes individual images in the kernel and includes size and shape detection technology as standard. Defective seeds that are the same colour as good seeds can now be separated by recognising different shape characteristics. Similarly, broken or deformed seed pieces can be separated from good material.

t – opportunity

A new individually available option is the testing of seeds for translucent properties. High-power LEDs with additional focus are combined with an excellent optical component with high light transmission. They allow the detection of defects in the inner part of translucent seeds that are not visible from the outside. Examples of this are the detection of red rice or rice or durum wheat.

i – possibility

Although it is sufficient to detect light in the visible range with ultimate accuracy, the OptoSelector is also available with NIR/SWIR capability for special applications. This option offers additional NIR/SWIR camera technology based on lnGaAs sensors. It is therefore possible to extend the OS 901’s ability to detect even the smallest shades of colour differences by taking into account additional information from the near-infrared spectral range.
