The PETKUS U-sorter (universal sorter) can be used for all purposes. It is a robust and reliable universal grain sorter in the medium capacity category and can be used for pre-, intensive and seed cleaning. Depending on whether the product to be cleaned is a seed cereal or an industrial cereal, the capacity of the grader can range from 8 to 80 t/h and is available in two different sizes.

The U-type cleaner is equipped with a feed hopper, one front air separator and one rear air separator, as well as two screening boxes oscillating in opposite directions, each box containing two screening layers. The different assemblies are driven by reduction motors. The seeds are transferred from the feed hopper to the pre-aspiration, where light impurities and dust are separated. The product is then transported to the upper sieve box by two sieve layers. The upper screening layer is used for the separation of large impurities and the second screening layer can be used for the separation of either large or fine impurities, depending on the cleaning method. The two sieve layers in the bottom sieve pan can be used to separate large and fine impurities or to calibrate the product depending on the cleaning method.
